Welcome to the Pioneer VillagePioneerland is located at the LaPorte County Fairgrounds, LaPorte, Indiana. It's inception began in 1995 as part of the LaPorte County Fair 150th Anniversary. Since it's beginning, Pioneerland has grown to include:
The entire village was funded and is operated by volunteers. The village depicts the 1800-1840's time period. It is in full operation during the LaPorte Country Fair (the 3rd week of July), and for school tours the first two weeks of May and the last two weeks of September. It is also open the first weekend in December and for special events as requested. The events include bus tours, the Indiana High School Rodeo, church groups, weddings, etc. NOTE: All buildings are handicap accessible.
